Officials satisfied with take off

Dschang,UDs/SIC-08/12/18. Key officials of the University of Dschang after the kick-off of the sporting season which took place at the Lycée Classique of Bafia football field expressed satisfaction and projected innovations in the coming future in both sports and the academic sphere of the university. In a brief chat with media officials, the Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences, Prof Dieudonné Bitom stated that the organization of the launching ceremony was a success especially the timing, “ all that had to be done was done and the timing respected we ended with a very beautiful game of football of which we won… It’s the first of its kind organized in Bafia and I think it was a success”.  In line with the challenges faced by the annex the dean indicated that the academic challenges due to lack of human resources will be looked into “… it is a young institution, just 2 years of age, we have the fervent ambition to develop it but we have to do that progressively in line with the means at our disposal…The training is very demanding and rigorous…,we have successfully offered 3 fields of training out of the existing 5.we hope to do better in future.”

The Director of Student’s Welfare in his interview highlighted that the 2018/2019 is a platform to prepare for the 22^nd edition of the University Games come 2019. He stated that since the hosting rights was announced in Maroua; the Directorate has embarked on a strategy with the Vice Chancellor to decentralize the games. Thus, bring in vivacity in its campuses of the West region. “Under the instructions of the VC, we have put in place not only a system that can detect talent but also to accompany the young athletes from the different institutions nationwide”.  With the positive attitude, there are strides to build on more resounding spheres in the university./
