UDs in remarkable celebration

Dschang,UDs/SIC-08/04/19. Over 400 female staff and students accompanied by 24 male staff graced the march pass of the University of Dschang during the last phase of the International Women’s day celebration at the ceremonial ground. During the triumphant passage by the University whose outfits illuminated excellence and glamour, the key theme of the day was projected in both languages. The march pass was led by the Deputy Vice-chancellor in charge of Research and Cooperation with the Business world, Prof. Metou Brusil Miranda, the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs of the institution, Prof Wansi Lea Slyvie and President of the Association of non-teaching female staff, Mme. Kenfack Cyprienne. They were closely followed by the female student community comprised of the Majorettes and Agricultural engineers from the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences in their farm wears. The message carried by the women of UDs was clear on their position on gender equality as they read; Ensemble pour une dynamique collective contre les inégalités des sexes en milieu Universitaires and A crucible for the exposure of gender equality”. Before the march pass some key female staff received recognition from the state and they were all encouraged to remain steadfast in upholding the values of woman at all levels. The day ended with a dinner offered to the university female community by the Vice-Chancellor at the University restaurant of Campus A./
