AD Scientific Index 2024

UDs soars High as Best Public University

Dschang,UDs/SIC-05/06/24.The University of Dschang has been ranked best Public University by the AD scientific Index which analyses the academic work of scientists using the H-index, i10 index and number of citations, providing results that can be used to evaluate the productivity and efficiency of individuals and institutions. The outcome of the 2024 AD ranking session gave reason to the University of Dschang to celebrate as one of its researchers Prof Victor Kuete emerged best as seen from the quality of his scientific work. This valiant researcher stood out among the first 100, scientists in Africa, with a World ranking of 14,299 occupying the 71^st position in the African continent and 1^st in Cameroon in the Africa Scientists Medical and Health Sciences/Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences 2024 Rankings. Other Lecturers-researchers from UDs equally distinguished themselves by remaining among the top best scientists in Africa. At the national level, the first in Cameroon came from UDs. The first five best UDs researchers referenced according to the AD scientific index in 2024 are as follows:

1. Victor KUETE, 71^st in Africa, 1st in Cameroon, 1st at UDs
2. Armelle MBAVENG, 937^th in Africa, 2^nd in Cameroon, 2^nd at UDs
3. Télesphore NGUELEFACK, 1995^th in Africa, 3^rd in Cameroon, 3^rd at UDs

78 publications and 3207

4. Njitacke ZT ranked 213031^st  in the world, 4^th at UDs

67 publications and 2786 citations

5. Jean de Dieu Tanokou, ranked 230 564^th in the world, 5th at UDs with 61 publications and 3304 citations.

It is worth noting that the University of Dschang clinched first in the various indexes (H index, last 6 years H index, total i10 index, last 6 years i10 index ,total citations and last 6 years citation) in the 13 selected universities  and 7 public universities in Cameroon .
