BUIDAAC N°003 du 1er avril au 26 juillet 2019

The third quarter whose activities for the 2018 – 2019 academic year are highlighted in this issue of BUIDAAC has again not failed in its regular academic duties in teaching, research and cooperation, in spite of numerous extra-curricular activities that our University successfully played host to. Of course, the most important and popular one was without doubt the 22nd University Games that went from 4th to 11th May 2019 in the 3 main sites of University of Dschang (Dschang, Bandjoun, Foumban).

Beyond this intense bonanza involving sports, culture and trade of national scope, teaching, research and cooperation unfolded hitch-free while respecting the earmarked calendar.

Teaching witnessed and execution rate going beyond 80% on the whole before the second semester examination for what concerns all the Schools and Faculties. Tutorials, practical exercises and individual practicum of students respected the laid down rules, with encouraging success rates. The various meetings were held on schedule (Senate and Council). The special recruitment of 109 lecturers decided by the Head of State witnessed its internal procedure on schedule in our University.

The University paid homage to one of its pioneers, Professor MPOAME MBIDA who spent almost his entire career at the UDs, occupying several duty posts.

Concerning research, internship reports, dissertations and theses were defended in all the schools and Faculties. Lecturers regularly travelled within and out of the country to finalize their research or to participate in colloquia.

Cooperation on its part, is really intense and diversified with appeals for cooperation at the national and international levels, visits paid by foreign researchers to boost our capacities.

The closing of the 2018-2019 academic year is a time to reward the best students in solemn academic mood as the entire University community gathers to acknowledge work well done and expect a better 2019-2020 academic year.

Such are the salient points developed in this issue of BUIDAAC n° 3 covering the period of April 1st to July 26, 2019, closing date of the 2018-2019 academic year.
