UDs joins in the celebration of the 40^th Edition of the International Women’s Day

Dschang,UDs/SIC-08/03/25.The 40^th edition of the International Rights of the Women ended with a colourful march pass today March 8, 2025.  Under theme: “For all women and girls: Rights, Equality and Empowerment”, over 327 female staff of the university carrying peace plants proudly marched alongside the men and female students of the university to honour this symbolic day. After this, the women were offered a dinner at the Campus A restaurant by the Rector, Professor Roger TSAFACK NANFOSSO.

On the program of this festive and friendly moment were musical performances and presentation of special distinctions to the women who stood out during this event-packed week dedicated to women’s rights.

The Coordinator of the week , Professor Sylvie Léa NGNOKAM épse WANSI, Vice-Rector in charge of Internal Control and Evaluation, during the event,  expressed her deep gratitude to the Rector of the University of Dschang, Professor Roger TSAFACK NANFOSSO, who allowed the women of his institution to be effectively honoured by dedicating an entire week to them during which they were educated on different themes and trained in the manufacture of various products that could allow them to be autonomous. She also thanked all the women who shone by their presence and their massive participation in the various activities organized, thus contributing to their influence. The Rector, in his speech, expressed his deep satisfaction with the great mobilization of women, the « Amazons » of the Collective Dynamics since the beginning of this week of activities that he himself solemnly opened on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the JOSEPH FONDJO Auditorium. The ceremony continued in a friendly and euphoric atmosphere during which women, men and students of our institution were able to commune together in a spirit of Collective Dynamics in honour of Women’s rights.
