Minister inaugurates FMPS/UDs building

A Nectar for Scientific Development

Dschang UDs/SIC-19/02/18. Within the past three months, the University of Dschang has embraced not only the creation of a new Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences by Presidential decree N° 2017/587 of 24 Nov 2017 and the appointment of a Dean of the Faculty on Monday 29^th of January 2018 but also has witnessed the inauguration of its building by the Minister of Higher Education. Before the kick-off of the Conference of Rectors and Presidents of the African and Indian Francophone Universities (CRUFOACI), the Minister and his delegation made their first stop to inaugurate the prestigious building which will host the Faculty. During the inauguration which lasted for few minutes the Vice Chancellor and the Board chair accompanied the minister on a brief tour of the building alongside university authorities, regional and divisional dignitaries, students among others .A family picture was taken at the end of the tour to immortalize the inauguration of the building. It is worth noting that the short list of successful candidates into the faculty was published by a press release 1800006Minesup/CNFMP of 17 Feb 2018 presenting the results of national entrance examination for the medical training in Cameroon for 2017-2018 academic year. The list  had a total of 52 medical students ( 2 foreign students) and 25 students in Pharmacy for the University of Dschang from the competitive entrance examination launched on the 15^th of December 2017. According to a press release signed by the Vice chancellor of the University, classes are scheduled to commence on the 26th February 2018./
