Proclamation of results for the 2023/2024 academic year

Excellence rewarded

Dschang,UDs/SIC-31/07/24. The Mathias Djoumessi International Conference Center hosted the Proclamation of results for the 2023/2024 academic year with a success rate of 70.44% and a cumulative success rate of 72.77%. This success rate and academic prowess did not go on unrewarded. During the ceremony, the best students of the university were awarded prizes such as ; the NDASSI BABILA Foundation, best UIT-FV projects, Commercial bank award, Orange Cameroun award, Rector’s prize award and best PhDs with roll of honour .

The NDASSI Foundation awarded a cash prize to the best students in the Department of Soil Sciences of the Faculty of Sciences  to the tune of 75000 CFA francs, the 2nd  went home with the sum of 50,000 cfa and the best Anglophone student had a cash prize of 25000 cfa frs.

The Director of the University Institute of Technology Fotso -Victor, Prof René Tchinda during the ceremony, also presented the best projects of the institution from the various departments and cash prize to the students to enable them realise the prototypes created. The projects are to be groomed by the CATI2-UDs to ensure success and attainability in the days ahead.

The Commercial bank on its part also valorised excellence by rewarding the 2nd best students of the university from various faculties and schools. Laureates had to benefit from 3 gold cheques of 100,000 each; two scholarships from the Commercial bank, the 8 students are to receive 280,000 in the form of a savings account plus one free banking card with a provision of 10,000cfa and a study scholarship of 25000 for the payment of tuition fees for the 1st semester. Orange Cameroun was next to boost academic excellence as it presented the sum of 50,000 CFA each to the best students from each faculty and level, indicating a total of 40 beneficiaries from the university.

The Rectors’ Prize was destined to the best 8 students of each faculty and school. Female students caught the eyes of the university community as they represented over 50% in this category. The Rector in his speech encouraged students to continue to ensure better results in the years ahead.

The award ended with the best PhD thesis from the Dschang School of Sciences and Technology by TALLEE KAKEU ARIANE GABRIEL on idéaux et topologie dans les structures résiduées

. The ceremony ended with a great satisfaction from the beneficiaries proving that excellence actually pays in UDs./
